The Corvette has been on the automotive scene for a long time and although it is America's
Sports Car it has garnered the ill-gained reputation of being a poseur and the ride of choice for the
"gold chain" crowd. The current Vette, the C6, has put that rep to rest since the Vette is now a true
world beater and now should be taken seriously as anything from Europe or Japan.
The current Vette, the C6 introduced in 2005, comes in many flavors from the base all the way
to the King of the Hill, the ZR1. The ZR1 despite its less than spectacular interior is a true techologic
tour de force. It has a dry sump 6.2L supercharged engine, an aluminum chassis, lots of light weight
carbonfiber in the right places..roof,hood etc.

If the ZR1 $110,000 entry price is too steep, the regular Vette will do and will do so nicely since it
offers real sports car performance at a very reasonable price. And if the power isn't enough
you can always do what the owner of this car did, simply drop a supercharger in the engine bay.
